Miami’s fashion It girl brings the heat to Eres’ latest swimwear collection

Take one legendary French beachwear label, add in the creator of an exclusive luxury boutique, and what do you get? A capsule swim collection that cool girls everywhere will be coveting all summer long. Laure Hériard-Dubreuil, founding partner and CEO of The Webster (whose cult flagship store is located on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach), began her fashion career on the merchandising team at Balenciaga under the tutelage of Nicolas Ghesquière, before moving on to head up the same department for Yves Saint Laurent ready-to-wear. With a pedigree like that, it’s no wonder that ERES (owned by Chanel since 1996) came calling, employing the quintessential French beauty as their brand ambassador last year.

The first outsider to ever design for the brand, Hériard-Dubreuil kept a 1950s pin-up silhouette in mind throughout the creation process, which resulted in a 14-piece collection that includes several maillots, bikinis, bags, sarongs, shirts, and shorts. Tapping the signature tropical wallpapers inside The Webster as well as Miami’s retro cityscape for inspiration, the designs feature pastel prints of Art Deco architecture, parasols, and lush botanicals (with a few hits of acid green and flamingo pink thrown in for good measure).

Prices range from approximately $330-$460 for suits to $130-$525 for beachwear, and are currently available at ERES boutiques in Toronto and Montreal, as well as online.
