That squealing sound you heard this morning was the (virtual, anyway) sound of Lanvin lovers everywhere exclaiming in delight over the very probable rumour that the house will be the next H&M pair up. An insider speculated to WWD that the “Designer Collaborations 2010” video actually featured the disguised voice of Alber Elbaz saying, “Design is very important because it actually brings dream to our life.” (Speculation has also pointed to Tomas Maier, based on a commenter recognizing the hands of the Bottega Veneta designer in one of the videos.)

The rumour won’t be confirmed until the collaborations are revealed on September 9, but if Lanvin is indeed on board, it will be utter chaos trying to get ones hands on these pieces. We advise you to take care: Lanvinites often sport weapons-grade neck wear.
