Kendall Jenner Dethrones Gisele Bündchen as World’s Highest Paid Model
Gisele has claimed the number one spot since 2002.
For the first time in 15 years Gisele Bündchen has been bumped from the top spot of Forbes highest paid model in the world list by reality TV star and model Kendall Jenner. We are just as shocked as you. The 37-year-old model, who (formally) retired from the catwalk back in 2015 earned 17.5 million this year while Jenner banked a whopping 22 million (yeah, totally relatable).
Jenner’s rise into the modeling industry began when she first appeared in Keeping Up With the Kardashians at just 12. She soon signed to Wilhelmina Models at 14 and in 2014, the Kardashian half sister made her New York Fashion Week runway debut at Marc Jacobs’ Fall/Winter ’14 show. Since then Jenner has been the face of Estée Lauder, La Perla, and even owns her own clothing line with little sister Kylie Jenner.
Also on the highest paid model list is Chrissy Teigen at number three, Adriana Lima in fourth place, and Gigi Hadid and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley tie for fifth. This was without a doubt the year for Instagram it girls.
