There is no shortage of homegrown talent in Canada, and this is especially true when it comes to jewellery brands. There are industry veterans like Biko and Ecksand, cult favourite brands like Mejuri and CAFA-recognized accessory labels like Melanie Auld and Lo’Bat. Given the small-scale production among many of our favourite local brands, many have an eye to sustainability or use responsibly sourced materials. Consider Vancouver-based Wolf Circus, which uses recycled silver and bronze throughout its collections — all of which are proudly made in Canada. Similarly, the team behind Kara Yoo primarily uses 90% recycled metals, reducing their CO2 footprint by at least 60%.

Whether you’re looking for your next pair of statement earrings or hunting for a piece that will one day become an heirloom, here are Canadian jewellery brands you should check out.
