Jessica Mulroney Wears a Canadian Designer to the Royal Wedding
Meghan Markle’s propensity for wearing Canadian designers has been well-documented, and brands like Sentaler, Birks and Mackage have all benefitted from a sprinkling of the legendary Markle Sparkle. For this, we have her best friend, stylist and “secret wedding planner,” Jessica Mulroney to thank.
As one of the royal wedding’s most visible guests – her young children, Ivy, 4 and twins Brian and John, 7, all served as attendants in the wedding – all eyes were on Mulroney, who chose a form-fitting dress by Montreal designer Di Carlo Couture for her appearance. She matched her dress, a particularly apt shade of royal blue, with a pair of sapphire earrings from Birks.
Markle and Mulroney have been best friends since 2011, when Markle relocated to Toronto to film the legal drama Suits. The now Duke and Duchess of Sussex once camped out at Mulroney’s stately Moore Park home when Markle’s house was swarmed with paparazzi after news that she was dating the Prince first broke.
