Jenny Bird’s new collection taps into the beauty of birds
Jenny Bird is putting the bird in, er, Bird. For the brand’s fall collection, the Canadian jeweller is celebrating the egret, an all-white heron with a long neck and beak. “I love it as a creature; it symbolizes luck, rebirth, grace and good fortune,” says the designer in a press release.
“The design accomplishment came from making the birds really molten — they’re almost abstract. This is probably the most artful collection I’ve designed.” With sculptural and fluid earrings, rings, necklaces and bracelets evoking the bird’s silhouette, we most certainly agree.
