Spring is officially here, which means we need a fresh pair of kicks—stat!

Hobbling down the street in sky-high heels is so o-v-e-r. When it comes to footwear, sneakers are the best/coolest way to pound the pavement in style. The spring runways (Alexander Wang, Tommy Hilfiger) are chock full of styles to up your shoe game, while keeping your feet firmly on the ground. Even longtime stiletto fans like Victoria Beckham are going the sporty-cool route these days.

This spring, J.Crew’s new 997 sneaker (the brand’s latest collab with New Balance) is on our style radar. Inspired by the rich hazelnut browns and velvety whites of a Cortado coffee, the limited edition New Balance for J.Crew Cortado 997 trainers will go with everything in your closet, so getting dressed every morning is a snap. We’re also totally digging the coffee culture tie-in (Cortados are trending in a big way). Just like your morning cup of java, these sneakers are guaranteed to kick start your day. Launching March 25, these new must-haves will be available at jcrew.com and Vancouver’s Robson Street store.

This isn’t the first time that J.Crew has teamed up with New Balance—past collabs include the 997 Moonshot sneakers and the 997 Butterscotch sneakers (seen below). If you’re looking for a splash of colour, the limited edition 247 sneaker from J.Crew’s spring sport collection is just the ticket.
