Ivanka Trump Arrives In Washington Wearing This Colour
Ivanka Trump (a.k.a. the new First Daughter) touched down at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland this Thursday looking photo shoot-ready for the upcoming weekend’s inaugural events, which include her father’s swearing-in ceremony on Friday, January 20. (Donald Trump will be the 45th President of the United States.) The 35-year-old businesswoman arrived with her husband Jared Kushner (who will be senior advisor to the incoming President) and three children, Arabella, 5, Joseph, 3, and Theo, 10 months.
Wearing an emerald green coat with a tulip-shaped hem and a matching shift dress, the incoming First Daughter seemed to take her style cues from Kate Middleton—the British royal wore a tailored monochromatic outfit for her arrival in New Zealand in 2014. Middleton is the queen of stylishly deplaning with a baby in her arms (Prince George! Princess Charlotte!), but it seems Trump may know a thing or two about balancing babies and Boeing 747s, too. Her green ensemble stood out at the wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday afternoon, since the majority of her extended family, including stepmother (and incoming First Lady) Melania Trump, wore black attire for the occasion.
Trump posted a stylized family photo of their arrival in Washington on her Instagram account on Thursday afternoon.
Later that evening, she shared another photo—this time wearing a custom Carolina Herrera white gown with a black sash and oversized bow. “Leaving for the candlelight dinner,” she wrote in the caption.
With Friday’s inaugural events just hours away, the clock is ticking down to the big fashion reveals: What will Ivanka wear? What will Melania Trump wear? Stay tuned.
