There is an Isabel Marant Étoile coat that has been on my Pinterest board since 2013. It’s black and white herringbone and I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I’ll never own it. :( But what will be within my reach is the forthcoming makeup capsule collection that the French designer is doing with L’Oreal Paris, which was just announced this morning.
Launching September 27th, on the day of her Spring 2019 show in Paris, the range will be five “playful yet practical” items for eyes, cheeks and lips. You can bet one will be a red lipstick and another will a black pencil eyeliner that smudges in the most incroyable way. There’s obviously going to be nothing for complexion given the fresh-scrubbed look of the models in her show, which of course checks out; She told WWD that her concept was partially to develop “non-makeup makeup products” and to make “a few necessary products that one always has in her bag and can be used in a very nomadic way,” she said.
