For the first time in Canada, Californian designer Heidi Merrick’s (heidimerrick.com) effortless, comfortable dresses are available at Oliver & Lilly’s (1520 W. 13th Ave., 604-736-7774, oliverandlillys.com), a boutique that opened in South Granville last fall.
Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Merrick produces clothing that exudes that effortless style of Angelenos—think easy, low-back dresses in fun floral and ikat prints, blousy tanks (dressed up when cinched with a skinny belt; dressed down when worn with wide leg jeans), and of course, a boyfriend blazer for chilly spring nights.
