Four Times that Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady Slayed the Red Carpet

By Sarah Casselman

Pats fans everywhere should have this iconic Queen song playing on repeat today, following yesterday’s big win against the Pittsburgh Steelers (Patriots 36, Steelers 17).

The New England Patriots clinched the NFL Conference Championship! Next stop: Super Bowl, Sunday February 5. Supermodel Gisele Bündchen posted a celebratory photo with her husband, New England Patriots star Quarterback Tom Brady on her Instagram account. Even in their winter outerwear and matching “Conference Champions” ball caps, the celebrity couple still gave us serious #stylegoals. “Congratulations my love,” she captioned the shot.

Despite both of their high profile jobs, Mr. and Mrs. Brady don’t do the power couple-on-the-red carpet-thing that often—scan Bündchen’s Instagram and you’ll see lots of adorbs family photos featuring John, 9 (his mom is Brady’s ex Bridget Moynahan), Ben, 7, and Vivian, 4. So naturally, when this genetically-blessed duo hit the town dressed to the nines, we all want to see them smoulder. One of the best places to ignite a fire on the red carpet is the Annual Met Gala in New York—a.k.a. the Super Bowl of the fashion world.

In 2014, they looked ready for the cover of Vogue with Brady in a tuxedo and Bündchen in an elegant Balenciaga gown featuring cut-outs and sheer panels.

At the 2013 Met Gala, Bündchen’s sexy Anthony Vaccarello dress with chainmail accents followed the evening’s theme (Chaos to Couture) to a T. Meanwhile, Brady’s blue tux jacket kept his look preppy rather than punk.

At the 2009 Met Gala, Bündchen opted for a body-con mini dress Versace paired with smoky eyes and nude lips. Brady looked like a leading man in his three-piece suit.

At the 2008 Met Gala, Gisele rocked a sexy blush-coloured Versace gown and Tom opted for a classic tux.

The Met Gala doesn’t roll out its red carpet again until May, but hopefully we won’t have to spend all winter mopping around, waiting for another Brady/Bündchen sartorial win. Depending on the Super Bowl outcome this February, the hot couple may just post another loved-up winning photo—matching ball caps and all.
