Gisele Bündchen’s 10 best runway moments, in honour of her 36th birthday

Despite announcing her retirement from the runway last year (it’s the end of an era!), it looks like Gisele Bündchen will be returning to her modelling roots to kick off the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

After 20 years of dominating the runways, the supermodel turned entrepreneur and yogi announced last year via Instagram that she was done with modelling. During an interview for Brazilian newspaper, Folha de Sao Paulo, the 36-year-old mother of two explained that it was her body that had told her to slow things down. “I respect my body, it’s a privilege to be able to stop.” Bündchen continued on saying this choice will also give her the opportunity to work on other projects within the industry.

Her runway days may be over, but we know she’ll continue to work---Forbes didn’t name her the highest paying model for nothing (she earned $47 million in 2014 alone). With contracts still in the works for brands like Chanel and Stuart Weitzman, Bündchen’s face (and beach-waves) can still be seen everywhere. And now with more time on her hands, we can’t wait to see what she has in store in the near future.
