This Western-Inspired Shoe Line Is Finally Available in Canada

Designed in California and handmade by artisans in Spain, indie label Frēda Salvador has, since its 2012 launch, found fans in Kaia Gerber, Naomie Harris and Gigi Hadid. No surprise, considering the label’s androgyn­ous-meets-sophisticated aesthetic. Co-founded by Megan Papay and Cristina Palomo-Nelson, the brand promises to elevate your everyday style with “timeless and slightly unconventional” shoes that are now available exclusively at Holt Renfrew.

“We did a road trip to Marfa with our vintage pop-up trailer last fall and were inspired by the southwest, so our [Pre-Fall] collection has a Western nod,” says Papay. “Holts saw our trip on Instagram and then followed the design process, ultimately loving our collection!” They’re not the only ones. Considering how quickly the shoes tend to sell out—when I visited their San Francisco store recently, several styles were low on sizes or out completely (they get restocked eventually, don’t worry!)—we advise getting in on the action early.
