As we lean into layers and take out our trenches, the mark of a good outfit becomes all about how we piece things together—and accessories are key to this equation. Perhaps that’s why artful add-ons were a standout from the Fall 2025 runways, where the coveted brands like Hermès, Chanel and Fendi all introduced unexpected accoutrements.

Gone are the days of delicate chains and barely-there necklaces. Cumbersome, heavy and commanding to the eye, pendants are the new power move. A jet-black piece can off-set an airy white blouse, while a sculptural stone adds organic edge to any outfit. Louis Vuitton had leather pouches, Chloé offered gothic charms and Rick Owens championed industrial, off-beat leather. While you could combine this piece with other necklaces to craft some textural intrigue, we’d suggest styling the pendant solo—and letting the rock talk.
Chain Reaction

Consider this your reprieve from the Labubu. Fashion’s fixation with pinning pieces onto our clothes has taken a chic turn—no hairy monsters in sight. With roots in hip-hop fashion and street style status signalling, the belt chains of today are masters of contrast. At Dior, they were paired with languid, silky blouses. At Simone Rocha, they were worn with gauzy dresses and leather bondage. At Louis Vuitton, they were presented with suit-and-tie styling for a high-low effect. Regardless of how you choose to wear it, a chain hanging from your waist is an in-the-know addition.

Once associated with lady-like polish and orderly prestige, pearls are being reimagined as an accessory for the daring dresser. On recent runways, they’ve been supersized: Chanel presented pearlescent cross-body bags swung around tweed sets; Vaquera had swooping pearl necklaces on baggy leather. Dilara Findikoglu subverted their image even further, sending models down her eerie runway with pearls tightly wound around their necks. (Talk about shell shock.)
If you’re looking for a way to reclaim this once-stuffy statement, consider opting for irony: peppering in a string of pearls with street-wear signatures or selecting an accessory that balances the polish with heavy hardware.

From leather wristbands to sculptural silver bangles, attention-courting cuffs are a surefire way to elevate an outfit. This season, designers went beyond the typical sleek slip-ons—opting for organic textures and playful colours. Fendi favoured fringe, while Canadian brand DSquared2 doubled down—literally—by stacking armlets with abandon. Whichever style speaks to you, for an extra hit of savviness, wear your bracelet on top of your sleeve.
