We’re suckers for a father daughter story, especially when that story results in a handbag collection. Italian leather brand Salvatore Ferragamo has added a new model to its covetable list of bags: the Fiamma. Honouring Ferragamo’s late daughter and creator of the first Ferragamo handbag collection, the Fiamma is functional luxury at its best, featuring a renewal of the brand’s iconic silk lining as well as dressings like snakeskin, croc, tweed and Swarovski crystal.

To celebrate the launch of the Fiamma, Ferragamo has created an accompanying video celebrating international families of powerful women. New York artist Jacqueline and daughter Lola Schnabel make an appearance as does Mariel Hemingway and daughter Langley Fox. On the international front, things get royal with Princess Patricia and Princess Mathilde Melusine Ruspoli of Rome. The film celebrates these women and families for their eclectic style, unique talents, immaculate achievements and dedication to family.

The Ferragamo Fiamma bag ranges from $1,600 to $27,000 and is available as of today at ferragamo.com and select Holt Renfrew locations in Canada.
