Fashion news: Olivier Theyskens named artistic director of Theory, Harry Potter knocks off McQueen, and Jenny McCarthy tells a story about Stefano Gabbana

Olivier Theyskens has finally landed a full-time gig. The Belgian designer has been named artistic director of Theory. Theyskens’ first collection for Theory will be revealed during the Fall 2012 season.  [WWD]

Jenny McCarthy appeared on Chelsea Lately and talked about meeting Stefano Gabbana at MTV Europe’s Video Music Awards early in her career...and being stripped, literally, of her head-to-toe Dolce & Gabbana outfit after her boyfriend assaulted Gabbana after a misunderstanding. M.A.C is set to launch their Dare to Wear--a makeup collection of lip glasses and eyeshadows inspired by Lady Gaga. [Vogue India]

Christian Siriano will be expanding his line with Payless. The newly expanded line will include up to 20 styles of footwear and handbags.  [WWD]

Lara Stone says she prefers working on controversial fashion shoots. “I think naughty shoots suit my personality. I don’t mind doing a straightforward fashion shoot, but it’s more fun when there’s something naughty in it,” she told Vogue UK. [Vogue UK]

Justin Bieber is entering the fragrance game. The pint-sized teenage heartthrob will be  launching a unisex fragrance called My World that will be housed in dog tags and wristbands. [WWD]

Luxury conglomerate LVMH has revealed it owns a 14.2 per cent stake in the family-owned Hermès. That stake will eventually bump up to 17.1 per cent, though LVMH has squashed any rumours of a takeover bid. [WSJ]
