An image of Coco Rocha‘s recent wedding to James Conran has surfaced. The bride looks stunning in a custom Zac Posen dress, which BFF Behati Prinsloo described as “It was tight over her body all the way to her knees, then it had this extreme mermaid tail at the bottom. The straps were off the shoulder, and the material looked vintage – it’s sort of hard to explain, you have to see it.” [Huffington Post]

Writer and designer Douglas Coupland is adding fashion designer to his already impressive resume. Roots has decided to expand their Canadiana by featuring a limited edition collection of pieces designed by Mr. Coupland. Dubbed Canada Goes Electric, the line includes T-shirts with TV test pattern bars and pixelated maple leaves that are sure to bring out your inner Microserf when they go on sale July 8. The British newspapers are blaming Ontario-born model, Elizabeth Minett, for the English soccer team’s disappointing tie-game against the US at the World Cup opener. Apparently the goalie, with whom Minett recently ended a two year relationship, was too haunted by the ghosts of his past to stop an easy goal. [Toronto Star]

After a slew of media revealing hiring practices and uniform policies (no fringe, no Keds, no plus-size) American Apparel has posted a press release in their defense, and because they’re “open and honest,” they’ve also posted CEO Dov Charney‘s phone number and email address. We can imagine the poor assistant in charge Dov’s phone is off weeping in the corner. [Racked]

It’s the end of an era in Paris. The Carrousel du Louvre, which has been the major venue of high fashion shows in Paris since 1993, will no longer be the host to the Chambre Syndicale. With the need for bigger venues in a city with horrendous traffic, we bid Paris good luck. [WWD]]

Karl Lagerfeld, who just can’t sit still, has a one day gig as editor-in-chief for the left-leaning daily Libération and will do an issue of Figaro Madame this September. We wonder if Anna Wintour is giving him a crash course? Not that he needs any help controlling a room. [WWD]
