Fashion news: Björk performs at McQueen memorial, Stephanie Seymour reconciles with Peter Brant, and don’t use Chanel as an adjective

Friends, family and the fashion elite, including Naomi Campbell, Stella McCartney, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Moss and Daphne Guiness, gathered at St. Paul’s Cathedral for a memorial for Alexander McQueen during London Fashion Week. Speakers included Anna Wintour, Suzy Menkes and milliner Philip Treacy spoke at the service and Björk performed “Gloomy Sunday.” [Vogue]

Chanel took out an entire back page ad in WWD to remind “fashion editors, advertisers, copywriters and other well-intentioned mis-users of [the] Chanel name” to stop using Chanel as an adjective to describe other designers clothes and collections.  [Fashionista]

Supermodel Stephanie Seymour and her husband Peter Brant have called it quits–on their divorce that is. “The parties have withdrawn their divorce action and are reconciling,” they said in a joint statement. [Racked]
