Fashion news: Balmain hair extensions, Ungaro up for sale and Lady Gaga to design sunglasses?

We read something today that we still haven’t fully absorbed: You can get Balmain hair extensions. We assume these aren’t Christophe Decarnin-designed, but instead one of the company’s many licenses. (Check out this DIY Balmain jeans from Auntie Fashion, created using a $5 Balmain men’s dress shirt from Sears.) You can buy clip-in purple or red fringe and extensions in “Level 10” blonde.  [Balmain Hair, Grazia]

Emanuel Ungaro keeps taking hit after hit. After the LiLo debacle and closing down it’s massive Madison Avenue boutique (which rumour has it will be taken over by Michael Kors), the brand is now apparently on the hunt for a buyer to take over its debt and tainted rep. Any takers? [NYP]

Whitney Port is being sued by an Adrienne Baravetto, who claims to have designed Port’s clothing line Whitney Eve without pay. She claims she was promised–verbally, of course–an $80,000 salary plus 25 percent stake in the company. [The Cut]

And in the same quirky photography vein, Guy Ritchie has been tooting around Paris the past few days, shooting the latest Dior Homme fragrance advertisement featuring Jude Law. [WWD]

Lady Gaga is supposedly in talks to team up with the Linda Farrow eyewear label to design a sunglasses collection. Will they be made of lit cigarettes?  [Fashion Indie]

Who isn’t Liberty of London teaming up with these days? The British brand famous for their pretty prints will team up with Manolo Blahnik for a limited-edition Fall 2010 collection. Blahnik will design a line of shoes, some new Liberty prints, candles, scarves, Christmas tree decorations, cushions and even shoehorns! Everything is set to launch in September, so you have lots of time to send your UK friends your wish list. [Stylelist]
