With Lorenzo Martone and Marc Jacobs officially split, the inevitable rebound rumours have transpired. Apparently, Martone has been seen hanging out (which always means canoodling!) with failed spaceman Lance Bass. That’s one heck of a downgrade – Louis Vuitton to *Nsync. [New York Daily News]

Cult fashion icon and Japanese Vogue fashion director, Anna Dello Russo, will be launching her new fragrance, Beyond, just in time for Christmas. The bottle is in the shape of a golden shoe and to celebrate, the cursor on her website has a trail of pretty golden sparkles.  [ADR]

It’s nice to hear self-aware designers commenting on their price tags. Proenza Schouler‘s Lazaro Hernandez recently said: “Sometimes I think the people who buy our clothes live in a parallel universe. Hell, we can’t even afford our clothes.” They also mentioned they are finished with cool kid apparel: “We are also tired of the shoes with the studs and the whole biker-jacket thing,” says Lazaro. Jack McCollough, his professional other half, pipes in, “it’s so common.” And you wouldn’t want to be common, would you? [Racked]

In a striking bout of originality, W Magazine is making a documentary about its September issue, under the new editor-in-chief Stefano Tonchi. The film is to be released in October, but most people will presumably be too blinded by déjà vu to actually see it. [The Cut]

Jaden, 12, and Willow Smith, 9, offspring of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, have teamed up with stylist Mariel Haenn to develop a distinctive style for the kids, with a fashion line being the “ultimate goal.” Isn’t puberty hard enough without worrying about a clothing line? [Contact Music]

Anna Wintour will host a dinner for Mr. President at her Manhattan home, with a modest guest list including Calvin Klein and Donna Karan. We’re wondering if Anna will get into her (probably Chanel) apron, or if it’s a catered affair. With the price of $30,000 a head, there better be diamonds in the caviar. [WWD]

The French first lady Carla Bruni spent yesterday shooting a cameo scene in Woody Allen’s upcoming Midnight in Paris, alongside Owen Wilson. [Huffington Post]

Esteban Cortezar had a triumphant return to the biz, after the whole Lindsay Lohan/Ungaro drama, with a collection at Colombian Fashion Week in Medellin. The collection was a collaboration with Colombian retailer Exito, with price tags ranging from US$12 to US$200. [Fashionista]

Chelsea Clinton is getting married in a few days and she’s buying her dress at Vera Wang (or Oscar de la Renta–the Clinton team’s been seen at both shops). If you’d like to see 10 photos of her walking in to Wang’s New York store, right this way. [WWD]
