Inside FASHION x Lise Watier’s Haute Garden Party

Extravagant décor. Memorable cocktails. A secret location. These are all necessary elements of an unforgettable soirée and all three were present at the garden party-themed FASHION x Lise Watier event celebrating the launch of Lise Watier’s Fall 2018 Haute Nature collection. Partygoers were whisked via Lyft to an unassuming warehouse in North Toronto and entered through a mysterious speakeasy entrance. Inside the party, professional hair and makeup artists were on hand to give impromptu glam sessions, guests sipped on dreamy floral-garnished cocktails by Seedlip Drinks, Spirit of York, and Greenhouse Juice, noshed on elegant lobster canapés and danced to the ice-cold beats of DJ Conor Cutz. The party’s pièce de résistance? A gigantic floral installation constructed out of 3,000 stems by Crown Flora Studio that took a team of 6 people over 7 hours to construct.

Earlier in the day, the FASHION team shot a lush greenery-themed beauty editorial in the space, and the installation was left up so key Toronto influencers like Joëlle Anelo, Stephanie Valentine, and Mélanie Viger could recreate their own version of The Secret Garden or perhaps Beyonce’s now-iconic pregnancy announcement photo.
