The Fashion Awards 2019 Proved That the Industry is as Obsessed with Bottega Veneta’s Daniel Lee as We Are

The designer cleaned up on the night.

Last night, the Fashion Awards 2019 took place at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Many of the top names in fashion turned out for the prestigious event, which drew plenty of stellar red carpet looks ahead of the ceremony.

Once the awards got underway, it quickly became clear that it was Daniel Lee and Bottega Veneta’s night. Lee, who was appointed to the luxury Italian fashion house last year, has fast become the darling of the fashion industry thanks to his standout (and Instagram-friendly) designs. Lee was nominated for Accessories Designer of the Year, Designer of the Year and British Designer of the Year - and won all three categories, whilst Bottega took home Brand of the Year beating out other buzzy brands Jacquemus and Loewe, as well as stalwarts Gucci and Prada.

Plus, Rihanna – who shone in an aqua-hued dress from her eponymous label - took home her first Fashion Award, winning the Urban Luxe award for Fenty.
