The 2019 Emmys took place in Los Angeles, California, this evening with some of Hollywood’s top talent turning out for the occasion.
Before moving inside the Microsoft Theatre, stars made their way down the red carpet wearing an array of photo-worthy looks. Red and pink was a popular colour combination for the evening with Mandy Moore, Taraji P. Henson and Marisa Tomei all wearing dresses in the hues, whilst vibrant blue was also trending, as seen on Jameela Jamil and Regina King. Plus, our October cover star Annie Murphy looked radiant in a sparkling midnight blue gown.

Tonight’s awards are set to be one of the biggest ever with Game of Thrones, Veep, and Schitt’s Creek all nominated across multiple categories. In fact, Game of Thrones is nominated a whopping 32 times, taking the record for the most nominations ever received at the event in one year (NYBD Blue held the record before that for 27 nods in 1994). According to US Weekly, there are also 23 first-time nominees this year, including Mandy Moore for her role in This Is Us (which is also nominated for Outstanding Drama Series) and Billy Porter for Pose.
