Drake Just Launched His Own Cannabis Brand

“The idea of being able to build something special in an industry that is ever growing has been inspiring."

A couple of days ago, Toronto-focused city website blogTO reported that people all over the city were getting flowers from Drake in anticipation of a new business venture. Today, that venture has been revealed: a cannabis company.

According to Rolling Stone, the Grammy-winning singer “has teamed up with Canadian cannabis producer Canopy Growth Company to form More Life Growth Company, a fully licensed cannabis producer and wellness corporation.” Named More Life after his 2017 mixtape, the company is based in Toronto with a production facility in Scarborough, Ontario. A press release from the launch states that the company will be “centred around wellness, discovery, and overall personal growth with the hope of facilitating connections and shared experiences across the globe.”

Complex reports that, according to the Canadian trademarks database, “More Life Growth Company will sell cannabis products and accessories, herbal teas, dried plants, rolling papers, oral vaporizers for smoking, pipes, as well as apparel and footwear.”

“The opportunity to partner with a world-class company like Canopy Growth on a global scale is really exciting,” Drake said in a statement. “The idea of being able to build something special in an industry that is ever growing has been inspiring. More Life and More Blessing.” Singer, actor, producer, Toronto Raptors global ambassador and now weed entrepreneur… what will Drizzy do next?
