Vancouver-based company Arc’teryx has just launched Walk Gently, a new design platform focused on boosting Indigenous voices. Created in partnership with xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) artist and designer Cole Sparrow-Crawford, the platform promotes Indigenous design and storytelling, and a call to action for people to connect more deeply with the land and its history.
The new endeavour also includes an accompanying collection that builds on the idea of being both physically and spiritually connected to the outdoors. Consisting of seven gender-neutral apparel and footwear pieces, its design elements represent the Coast Salish traditions of fishing, canoeing and harvesting. Launching online on July 17, proceeds will support Indigenous organizations, including Indigenous Women’s Outdoors.

Louis Vuitton’s men’s creative director Pharrell Williams is back with a new workwear-focused line for the Fall 2024 season. The capsule collection bridges the American Western origins of workwear through the savoir-faire of classic Louis Vuitton with versatile, durable ready-to-wear apparel and the brand’s much anticipated Timberland boot collaboration. Available in three distinct styles, each boot features variations, including seam-sealed waterproofing, black-grained leather and 18K gold LV initials and hardware.
To round out the capsule, the line also features a new bag titled the Keepall 50 Toolbox, which is physically modelled after real toolboxes, includes several exterior pockets and is crafted from a natural leather canvas.
