Comrags is Revisiting Swimwear This Season

Plus five fab finds from the iconic Canadian label's current collection.

Now in its 37th year of business, Comrags has reintroduced swimwear to its line for the first time since the ’80s—a smart move since customers had taken to wearing the brand’s Lycra pieces to the beach and poolside in past seasons. The new offering includes a one-piece tank-style bather that goes nearly to the knee (designed with paddle boarding in mind, according to co-designer Judy Cornish), a bathing dress and a T-shirt and briefs—all crafted from a two-way-stretch, quick-drying jersey produced in Italy.

“We like the mill because they consider sustainability,” says Cornish. “We monitor every single stage of our productions’s cycle in order to reduce the use of water, energy, chemicals and waste.” A focus on conscious creation speaks to Comrags’ larger goal of crafting garments that will find a home in someone’s closet for many years to come. “It’s what [co-founder] Joyce [Gunhouse] and I have long believed; that clothing should last,” she notes.

If your WFH style could also use a splash of excitement, the brand’s new watercolour prints will give a subtle lift to your look. Here are five picks from Comrags’ current collection to buy now and enjoy for a long time to come:
