There were several trends on red carpet show at last night’s Golden Globes, and we’ll be looking back all day long by pitting two of the trend’s strongest supporters against each other in one on one red carpet polls. Do or die, some may say! First trend up: fiery red.

Jennifer Lawrence was outfitted in Dior Haute Couture—no surprise, as the new face of the Miss Dior handbags—with a classic ballgown shape. While Lawrence’s joke about not knowing what “haute” meant during her pre-show interview with E! fell flat on some fashion critics, how great she looked in the bright shade of red orange is undeniable, especially against her warm Katniss-dyed hair and tan. Lawrence’s Dior dress featured a gold metal belt showcasing her waist. The pointed bust looked to be inspired by a ‘50s-era bullet bra or Madonna’s infamous Jean Paul Gaultier cone bra. Jests aside, the classic shape and material allowed Jennifer Lawrence to shine.

On the flip side, Claire Danes chose a relaxed red Atelier Versace dress that showed off her incredible post-baby body. The dress displayed her best assets with a thigh-high slit, plunging neckline and cinched waist with beading detail. The relaxed silk erased all signs of the fact that Claire Danes gave birth to a son just over a month ago.

So, who takes top honours? Vote in our red carpet poll above!
