Local style inspo is everywhere on social these days, from the ultra-glam get-up donned by Canada’s Drag Race winner Priyanka, to football player Chase Claypool sporting Sevin Kasran (plus a heap of luxury labels). It makes us feel good to see Canadian design in such company, so without further ado, here are the homegrown fashion moments we noticed this week.
B.C.-born football player Chase Claypool – the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver who just signed a deal with Nike’s Jordan brand – was more about giving us some blue steel recently when he posted a snap of him wearing Balenciaga kicks, a Gucci scarf and Louis Vuitton bag. The stand-out element of Claypool’s ensemble was Sevin Kasran’s ‘Turmeric’ bomber jacket, an eye-catching piece from the Vancouver-based brand’s most recent drop.
The Queen Priyanka graced us with a lewk truly fit for royalty when she dropped into our feed wearing the stunning combination of a vintage coat and dress from Toronto’s Nouveau Riche and sky-high heels from House of Hayla. We’re not worthy!
More like “bold weather,” am I right? TV host Liz Trinnear gave us a lesson in comfy-cozy while wearing an adorable loungewear combo by Vancouver’s Brunette the Label. Love the Snow Leopard look? Then you’ll be happy to hear it makes an appearance in the brand’s newly launched collab with Smash + Tess.
