Chanel has just released an exclusive teaser video for its latest It bag—the Gabrielle, launching this spring. “Everyone called her Coco but her real name was Gabrielle. It’s the perfect name for a handbag that has all the codes of Chanel,” explains Karl Lagerfeld. The four Instagram stories, featuring Kristen Stewart, Cara Delevingne, Caroline de Maigret and Pharrell Williams, show the playful side of the luxury French house. Since the new handbag is named after founder Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel, each celeb pronounces the name Gabrielle in their own way. From Kristen Stewart’s whistles to Cara Delevingne’s singsong rap, the short videos showcase the unique personalities of the four brand ambassadors. Inspired by the shape of augmented reality glasses and the binocular cases that gentlemen used to wear over their shoulders at the racecourse, the Gabrielle bag has a rigid thermoformed base, which throws to the futuristic vibe of Chanel’s spring 2017 collection. The adjustable strap comes with a double chain that allows for three different ways of wearing it: over the shoulder, across the body, or both at the same time, with the chain going over one shoulder and then diagonally over the other.
