There’s nothing quite like a film festival to provide us with non-stop celebrity red carpet action. The Tribeca Film Festival kicked off last Thursday in New York City and celebrities showed up in dresses that looked like they stepped right out of our Spring 2014 trends guide. Fresh from the opening night of her Broadway debut, former Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester switched out of her elegant gown from the night before into a mermaid-esque dress for the screening of Life Partners (unfortunately without hubby/co-star Adam Brody by her side). Over on on the west coast, the second week of Coachella kept the festival fashion coming—but we also saw a number of festival-ready looks on red carpets in Hollywood. Olivia Munn rocked a black sleeveless romper by Valentino that would suit both a film premiere and music fest alike. With spring finally in the air, it’s no wonder A-list stars are dressing accordingly.

Leighton Meester donned a pastel blue Emporio Armani dress with a metallic asymmetrical draped skirt at the Life Partners screening during the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival on April 18, 2014 in New York City. She finished her look with a pair of neutral peep-toed sandals and a silver clutch.
