The Venice Film Festival Red Carpet Is a Chic Affair
The cast of ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ are bringing the nouveau gothic vibes, while Taylor Russell, Lady Gaga and Nicole Kidman are rocking couture.
The 2024 Venice Film Festival kicked off in the Floating City on August 28, opening with the highly anticipated Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. The cast of the Tim Burton-directed film hit the Venice 2024 red carpet in reliably spookily stylish ensembles no doubt inspired by the DNA of the original film. Look to Canadian icon Catherine O’Hara in head-to-toe black and white stripes, Winona Ryder in a gothic black coat dress and Jenna Ortega in a burgundy velvet suit for proof. (Special method dressing points to Ortega for the black and white striped box handbag she was spotted carrying when arriving at a photo call by boat — chic.)
Another notable celebrity spotting at this year’s Venice Film Festival is Canadian rising star Taylor Russell who wore a vintage John Galliano suit from his Spring 1995 collection with a nipped-in waist that’s giving 2024 office siren.
