TIFF poll: Minnie Driver and Hilary Swank in velvet. Who wore it best?

Where Alannah Myles when you need her? Hilary Swank and Minnie Driver both turned up for the Conviction premiere last night in dueling (okay, not black) velvet dresses. Driver went with a strapless green frock that, with the the doodads at the side, makes it look like she’s maybe-sorta-kinda wearing the drapes, but she still looks stunning and those Loubs are amazing. Swank puts on a swirled, black-and-blue Pucci mini to show off her legs, but--and it may be the angle--the shoes are not doing anything toward that effort.
