An evening of overly enthusiastic teens’ tweets taking over your social media feed can only mean that the 2014 Teen Choice Awards took place last night. Honouring stars from our fave movies, television shows, music and so forth, this year’s annual fan-favourite event was co-hosted by Tyler Posey of Teen Wolf and Sarah Hyland of Modern Family. An electric opening number by Demi Lovato, who won Choice Summer Song for “Really Don’t Care,” a Maid in Manhattan reunion and a shirtless 5 Seconds of Summer to virtually accept their awards were some of the many buzz-worthy highlights, but as much as we want to give you the rundown of all the best moments at last night’s event, we were much more interested in what the starlets were bringing to the red blue carpet.

As one of the last summer red carpet opportunities, Hollywood’s starlets were using this as a worthy excuse to bare envious summer bods in a variety of crop top ensembles. Honestly, it might have been easier to tell you who didn’t show up in this summer staple. Adding another best-dressed look in her books, Nina Dobrev caught our attention once again in an eye-catching outfit by Vionnet with a messy side braid to complete the look. Shay Mitchell also wore this summer hairstyle that paired so well with her romantic white lace two-piece look. Taylor Swift is now no stranger to wearing crop top ensembles on the red carpet (especially when she knows she looks this good in them), but we were especially green with envy (pun intended) seeing her pull off last night’s summer-clad ensemble so well. Oh, and don’t get us started on Chloe Grace Moretz’s three-piece Valentino look. This girl just does no wrong in the wardrobe department, whether it’s a book signing, a summer party or an award show.

While there were some A-list stars who didn’t seem get the crop top memo, they nevertheless held their own in glamourous seasonal-appropriate outfits. Known to work both normcore and glam effortlessly on the red carpet, Shailene Woodley favoured the latter for last night’s event when she accepted multiple surfboards including Choice Movie Actress for Divergent and Choice Movie Actress in a Drama for The Fault In Our Stars in a Peter Pilotto number. Selena Gomez was also a big winner last night. The singer/actress looked more business than usual in a sleek black Saint Laurent suit when she went up to pick up the Ultimate Choice Award.

And what teen red carpet event is complete without the ultra glam Kardashian clan present? Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, who celebrated her 17th birthday last night, were awarded with the Best Reality TV Series surfboard for Keeping Up with the Kardashians. While Kylie and Kim looked cute working a couple look (sister edition) in babely two-piece ensembles, the runway model of the group stood out in a stark white jumpsuit. #thatawkwardmomentwhen

Chloe Grace Moretz wore a three-piece ensemble from the Valentino Resort 2015 collection. The matching red embroidered shorts and jacket were paired with a black bandeau, and simple red Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals.
