The weekend in celebrity style: See who made our top 10 best dressed
Comic-Con 2014 took place in San Diego this past weekend, where the stars of upcoming blockbuster films and television shows had a chance to meet with enthusiastic fans. Megan Fox may have set the bar when it came to the updated LBD (ahem, crop top and mini skirt), our celebrity heroes kept it coming through the star-studded weekend event. Don’t believe us? After a fairytale-inspired red carpet run for the Maleficent promo tour, Elle Fanning is back on our fashion radar. Putting her ethereal gowns on hold, Fanning changed things up wearing a striking red lace Christopher Kane dress and matching pumps to promote her upcoming animated film The Boxtrolls. And leave it to the young starlet to make a statement in the beauty department with bright coloured eyeshadows (not her first time in the rodeo) to match her bold manicure.
As mentioned above, crop tops were a definite trend at Comic-Con 2014. Sporting the summer favourite were Jessica Alba and Emma Roberts who both paired black crops with voluminous circle skirts (by Tanya Taylor! #canadarepresent). Over in Los Angeles where the 2014 Young Hollywood Awards took place, stars were confidently baring their midriffs as well. Both Vanessa Hudgens and Nikki Reed sported similar halter-neck crop tops.

Saldana was a vision in white wearing a layered dress by Chloé from the Fall 2014 collection and gave her look a pop of colour with red pumps by Bionda Castana. Gillan was yang to Saldana’s yin by going for an edgier look that consisted of a red shift dress by Gucci from the Pre-Fall 2014 collection, featuring a black leather Peter Pan collar. She topped off her look with a pair of T-bar heeled-sandals
