With pre-Oscar season starting earlier and earlier each year, we’re getting a sneak peek at 2015’s red carpet trends. Lace, sheer and shades of blue seem to be the clear winners as we look back at last week’s biggest events, which include the 60th London Evening Standard Theater Awards, where Suki Waterhouse stood out in a sheer lace blue Burberry gown. Also in London, Alexa Chung attended the British Fashion Awards Nominee’s dinner, looking splendid as usual in a white Erdem Spring 2015 skirt.

Blue proved the warmest colour in Los Angeles, with Hailee Steinfeld stepping out in a teal Elie Saab mini dress at a private dinner hosted by the label.

In Australia, Katy Perry was up to her usual statement making, attending the 2014 ARIA Awards to present the Best Female Artist Award. She wore a strapless KTZ Spring 2015 dress and necklace, with her hair was pulled back into a high ponytail.
