In what has got to be one of the most major red carpet looks this year, Angelina Jolie took Maleficent to the next level by showing up to last night’s Los Angeles premiere in a rubberized silk (rubberized silk!) Atelier Versace gown. Have you ever even heard of rubberized silk before? Me either.

Like a dreamy throwback blend of Madonna’s famed Gaultier cones and latex “Human Nature” bodysuit, Jolie’s look was a bit of a return to her previous existence as a blood vial-wearing goth. Completing the look with gold spike bracelets, strike-through earrings and black Christian Louboutin heels, Jolie was every bit the babely Maleficent we are so eagerly anticipating when the film hits theatres tomorrow.
