Canadian Singer Eva Tolkin Shares Her Tips on Style and Vintage Shopping

Meet your new style crush.

We met Toronto-born, New-York based Eva Tolkin at VSP Consignment while she was in town for a show with Blood Orange and to perform her own tracks at the Drake Underground. Despite having played both shows the night before, the singer met us bright and early to share her style secrets at one of her favourite Toronto shops.

The Canadian, who got her start singing backup for Solange, Robyn, Charlie XCX, Lykke Li and Blood Orange, has a sweet singing voice and impeccable style. Her polished vintage look makes us want to raid her closet and it’s no surprise that she’s self-styled. For her latest music video Honeycomb Eva wore entirely Lou Dallas, combing through the brand’s archives to find the perfect dramatic jacket and bloomer combo. Her time spent touring with different artists has helped her develop an international vintage wardrobe that includes pieces like a Jean Paul Gautier puffer jacket and several pairs of Prada slides.

Watch below for Eva’s vintage shopping tips.
