Canadian shoe designer creates Tron-inspired sandal

Quebec-born shoe designer Jerome C. Rousseau (jeromecrousseau.com), whose celeb fans include Charlize Theron, Cameron Diaz, Kristen Stewart and French indie actress Roxane Mesquida (star of the designer’s new campaign), was tapped by Disney to create a shoe to celebrate the launch of Tron Legacy, which opens December 17. It was a fortuitous opportunity--Rosseau loved the look of the original Tron as a teenager. The shoe, a metallic leather sandal that’s available in pewter or gold, were available at the Tron Legacy pop-up shop in L.A., which also featured specially-created bags from Brooklyn-based accesssories label Hayden-Harnett. You’ll be able to pick up these shiny beauties at specialty boutiques worldwide come February.
