Canada takes Topshop... finally!

The fast-fashion Brit retailer⎯known for their knack with off-the-runway offerings and collaborations with up-and-comers like Christopher Kane, Marios Schwab, and with supermodel-come-designer Kate Moss⎯has been nabbed by The Bay to open stores across Canada through an exclusive franchising agreement. The historic Canadian retail giant has plans to first open shops within actual Bay department stores, followed by future stand-alone and flagships across Canada.

According to the franchise agreement, we can expect to see Topshop, as well as Topman, the men’s accompaniment to the brand, opening within an undisclosed Bay store in Toronto as early as this fall, with the rest of the country to follow.

This marks the Canadian debut of Topshop on a much larger scale. Toronto boutique Jonathan + Olivia began carrying clothing from the line last June, as well as adding cosmetics in December.
