When the first Destiny’s Child self-titled album dropped in 1998, Beyoncé Knowles was still only a 17 year-old Texas teenager with big dreams and--like most teenagers--somewhat questionable fashion style. The not-so-subtle leader of the all-girls band was hurled into stardom and eventually became the Queen B we know know her as today, reigning over the music industry with her phenomenal albums and artistic takes on fashion.

In 2018 alone, Mrs. Carter landed the most important magazine cover of the year, released an album and headlined Coachella. To celebrate her 37th birthday, we’re taking you through Queen B’s iconic style evolution, from her early 2000s Bootylicious looks to this year’s Beychella.
