It’s here! It’s here! The first peek at the Altuzarra for Target collection is finally here and it’s as luxurious as we had imagined. When we first heard the news back in May, we couldn’t help but speculate what the high low collection had in store for us. It also didn’t help that the New York designer (and CFDA award winner for best woman designer of the year #nbd) has been doing nothing but tease us with videos. Let’s just say, it was well worth the wait.
While previous designer collabs with Phillip Lim and Peter Pilotto comprised of fun prints and casual attire, luxury and sophistication (with a hint of sex appeal) was on Altuzarra’s mind for his collection. We’re talking snake print dresses with slits up to there, lush velvet pantsuit and tailored trenches galore. Honestly, if you’ve always wanted to own a piece of Altuzarra, now’s chance because this collection his famous aesthetics all over it. Oh, and let’s not forget that sultry lingerie pieces are in here too, complete with that infamous black lace mask.
Launching in Target stores across Canada and the US, the 50-piece collection of womenswear and accessories (belts and heels included!) will start as low as $18 and go up as high as $90. Talk about affordable luxury. And for those who much rather shop in the comfort of their home in pjs, Net-A-Porter will also be selling the collection exclusively. With exactly one month till its debut (fyi it’s September 14), we’re making a mental note of which pieces we’re going make a beeline for come that Sunday morning. As before then, we’re perusing this ever-so-glam lookbook to help make passing the time a little easier.
