Nadja Bender

Danish model Nadja Bender was born in 1990 in Copenhagen, Demark. After being discovered on Facebook (really), she strutted onto the scene in a breakthrough Fall/Winter 2012 season, when she opened for both Alexander Wang and Rodarte at New York Fashion Week. She has also walked in fashion shows and worked with a long list of other celebrated designers including Alberta Ferretti, Balmain, Chanel, Chloe, Escada, Etro, Fendi, Gucci and more. Her signature beauty mark and impossible cheekbones have garnered several comparisons to Cindy Crawford.

Gucci named her face of their Fall/Winter 2012-2013 campaign alongside Karmen Pedaru, and Bender appeared in Vogue Paris for the first time in the June/July 2012 issue. Recently, the 5’11” stunner is featured in Chanel’s prestige eyewear campaign.

When she’s not hard at work, she favours jeans and taking in Copenhagen’s booming culture scene with her friends (she touts Henri Matisse as her favourite artist) including its museums, botanical garden and other exhibitions. Japanese films and an iPod stocked with Eddie Vedder, Tina Dickow, White Lies, José Gonzalez and Agnes Obel are her other favoured means of entertainment as of late.
