By FLARE Staff
Date October 15, 2020
It’s been 17 years since the OG Bachelor, Alex Michel, stepped out of that famous limo to meet the group of women vying for his heart. Like many Bachelors and Bachelorettes to come, Michel did *not* find his wife-to-be on the highly-addictive reality show. However, there are some Bachelor couples who *have* found everlasting love. (We see you, Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter!) Peep our full gallery to find out the fate of every single Bachelor couple in franchise history.
Bachelor Couples Mega-Gallery
1/72 Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum
Show + Season: The Bachelorette, Season 7
Engaged? Yes
Actually got married? Yes
What went down at the finale? After being proposed to by both J.P. Rosenbaum and runner-up Ben Flajnik, the pediatric dentist chose J.P.—despite the fact her family weren’t his biggest fans.
Where are they now? After eight years together, tying the knot in December 2012 and welcoming kids Fordam and Essex, Ashley and J.P. announced on October 14, 2020 that they are divorcing. In a pair of matching Instagram posts, the couple said that the split came “after months of separation.”
“Our differences have taken a toll on our relationship and after years of attempting to repair the damage, we’ve decided that it is in our family’s best interest to create new and separate lives for our children,” Ashley wrote, before asking for privacy during this difficult time.
Sending Ashley and J.P. all the best.
2/72 Madison Prewett and Michael Porter Jr.
It was only a matter of time before *someone* in Bachelor nation linked up with an NBA player. Madi Prewett—the runner-up on Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor—is sparking rumours that she’s dating Denver Nuggets player Michael Porter Jr., after the two were pictured cuddling on October 11. In a series of photos posted by Porter’s sister, Bri Porter, on her Instagram account, the power forward and Prewett are pictured gazing at each other and posing, holding hands. “My fav double date,” Porter captioned the post.
Needless to say we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more photos!
3/72 Chris Soules and Victoria Fuller
Show + Season: The Bachelorette, Season 10, The Bachelor, Season 19 and The Bachelor, Season 24
Engaged? Never were
Actually got married? Nope
What went down at the finale? After being a fan favourite on season 10 of The Bachelorette, Soules went on to become the lead on season 19 of The Bachelor and left the show engaged to Whitney Bischoff. The couple announced their split in May 2015. Fuller, who competed on Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor, made it to the top four before being sent home.
Where are they now? Split. Shortly after leaving the show, Fuller says she was put in touch with Soules through her friend and fellow contestant (who happens to be an Iowa native like Soules), Kelsey Weier, and the pair started texting and FaceTiming. In April 2020, fans speculated that Fuller was quarantining with Soules after she posted a photo captioned “Farm life,” with the location tagged as Arlington, Iowa. And in June the couple were photographed together in Fuller’s hometown of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Speaking to PEOPLE about their relationship in July, Fuller said the duo were “really happy.” She added: “The last few months have been really special for us. We’re enjoying each other!”
But alas, all good things must come to an end. On a September 9 episode of fellow Bach alum Nick Viall’s podcast, Fuller confirmed that the pair had gone their separate ways. ”I am just living my best life,” she said. Fuller says that she and Soules remain friends, telling Viall: ”But I respect him so much. I think he’s an amazing man. I just think that like right now, I’m in such a different place than he is. And I’m not moving to Iowa anytime soon.”
4/72 Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen
Show + Season: The Bachelorette, Season 14
Engaged? Not anymore
Actually got married? Definitely not
What went down at the finale? After living through more Bachelor drama than one person deserves, Kufrin found love at the end of her season with a proposal from Yrigoyen. Even though we weren’t fully on board with her choice, we were happy to see her happy after a lot of disappointment.
Where are they now? Splitsville. After over two years together, on September 1, Kufrin confirmed that she and her former fiancé have ended their engagement and relationship. The announcement comes two months after Yrigoyen was criticized for a “Blue Lives Matter” Instagram post supporting police during the Black Lives Matter movement against racial injustice after the murder of George Floyd at the hands of police.
“I don’t think it’s going to come as a shock to anyone, but Garrett and I have decided to end our engagement,” Kufrin said in an episode of her Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. “After many conversations, we came to this decision. It wasn’t something that we just arrived at one night,” she continued. “It wasn’t based solely off of one Instagram post or somebody else’s opinions or comments. There’s much more to it. To any relationship, there’s a lot of layers, and it’s not for me to divulge details. It’s no one’s business other than what I’m telling you right now.”
5/72 Clare Crawley and Dale Moss
Show + Season: The Bachelor Season 18, Bachelor in Paradise Seasons 1 and 2, Bachelor Winter Games, The Bachelorette Season 16
Engaged? Reportedly, yes!
Actually got married? Not yet
What went down at the finale? After appearing on season 18 of The Bachelor, leaving the show as runner-up for Juan Pablos Galavis’s heart, Crawley appeared on several seasons of Bach nation spin-offs before landing the lead role as The Bachelorette for season 16. After production of her season was shut down in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, filming picked up in July 2020. But, according to Reality Steve, only 12 days into filming her season, Crawley pulled the plug, having already fallen in love with professional football player and model Dale Moss. This lead to potentially the most bonkers Bachelorette season ever, with Bach alum Tayshia Adams becoming the *new* season 16 lead. According to Reality Steve, Moss and Crawley are reportedly engaged, which is fast even by Bachelor standards.
Where are they now? Keeping their love on the down-low for now. Guess we’ll have to wait for the season to air to see what happens!
6/72 Krystal Nielson and Chris Randone
Show + Season: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 5
Engaged? Yes
Actually got married? Yes
What went down at the finale? Randone acted… questionably during season 5 of BiP. But, in the end, Nielson apparently called him out on his flaws, they worked things out, and he popped the question.
Where are they now? Officially filing for divorce. After a tying the knot in Mexico (on season 6 of BiP, obvi) in June 2019, Nielson and Randone announced in February 2020 that they were separating. ”It hurts to announce that at this moment, we have mutually decided to separate,” the couple told Bachelor Nation in a statement at the time. “Never did we imagine this scenario, but we’ve come to a point where we both need to work on ourselves. We are best friends that love and care for each other so deeply. We’ve appreciated everyone’s love and support so far throughout our journey and we just ask that you please respect our privacy as we navigate through this.”
And it looks like the pair are deciding to continue working on themselves…separately. On August 20, Nielson took to Instagram to share an update with her followers, announcing that the couple is officially divorcing six months after their separation. “The past 8 months have not been easy…I’ve been torn between mourning a life that could’ve been…and determined to fight for the future that I know I deserve,” Nielson wrote. “With respect and support for one another, Chris and I have decided to move forward with filing for divorce.” Nielson also thanked everyone for their support and love during this time.
Looks like “Glitter & The Goose” are no more.
7/72 Vanessa Grimaldi and Joshua Wolfe
Show + Season: The Bachelor Season 21
Engaged? Yes
Actually got married? Not yet!
What went down at the finale? Canadian contestant Vanessa Grimaldi said “Yes!” to season 21 The Bachelor lead and unlucky-in-love alum Nick Viall in the season’s final episode.
Where are they now? After saying yes, Vanessa and Nick broke up five months into their engagement in August 2017. In January 2019, Vanessa revealed that she was dating businessman and fellow Canadian Joshua Wolfe, and on August 9 the Montreal-native popped the question while the pair were visiting Quebec City. Congrats to the couple!
8/72 Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph
Show + Season: The Bachelorette Season 14, The Bachelor Season 23
Engaged? No
Actually got married? Nope
What went down at the finale? After appearing on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette, Colton became the lead on Season 23 of The Bachelor. In the March 2019 two-part finale, Colton was dumped by final three contestant Cassie Randolph after wrestling with doubts over whether she wanted to be with him. In the finale episode, Colton decided to send home the final two women (Hannah G. and Tayshia) in order to pursue Cassie, famously jumping a fence in Portugal and convincing her to spend the week with him. On the After the Final Rose episode, Colton and Cassie revealed that they were still together, but not engaged and not living together.
Where are they now? Just friends. A little over a year after coming out to the world as a couple (and after sticking together as Colton recovered from COVID-19), the pair shared news of their breakup in joint Instagram statements. “Its been a crazy few months to say the least,” Colton captioned a black and white photo of he and Cassie on a boat. “Cass and I have been doing a lot of self-reflecting. Sometimes people are just meant to be friends – and that’s okay. We both have grown immensely and been through so much together – so this isn’t the end of our story, it’s the start of a whole new chapter for us.”
In her own post, Cassie acknowledged that while neither of them felt ready to talk about the split publicly, the nature of their relationship made doing so a necessity. “Colton and I have broken up, but have decided to remain a part of each others lives,” she wrote. “With all that we have gone through, we have a special bond that will always be there. I love Colton very much and have an enormous amount of respect for him. We have both learned and grown so much these past couple years, and will always have each others back. Always.”
Wishing these two all the best!
9/72 Peter Weber and Kelley Flanagan
Show + Season: The Bachelorette Season 15, The Bachelor Season 24
Engaged? No
Actually got married? Nope
What went down at the finale? After appearing on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, Peter became The Bachelor on Season 24 of the show. In the March 2020 finale, Peter proposed to Hannah Ann Sluss, only to break up with her while the show was airing. Kelley, a contestant on Peter’s season who he’d met before the show started filming, went home before the finale.
Where are they now? After the finale aired, Peter briefly reunited with runner-up Madison Prewett, with the couple announcing their split two days after the finale. On March 25, Peter and Kelley were spotted together on Chicago’s river walk and have been quarantining together since. While the pair initially stated that they *weren’t* dating, with Peter saying that they were “taking it really slow,” sources say that the pair are now offish a couple!
10/72 Ben Higgins and Jessica Clarke
Show + Season: The Bachelorette Season 11, The Bachelor Season 20 and Bachelor Winter Games
Engaged? Yep
Actually got married? Not yet!
What went down at the finale? After appearing on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette, Ben became The Bachelor on Season 20 of the show. In the March 2016 finale, Ben proposed to Lauren Bushnell, a flight attendant from Oregon.
Where are they now? In May 2017, after over a year together (and their own reality show, Ben and Lauren, Happily Ever After?), Lauren and Ben ended their engagement. In February 2019, Ben went public with his very non-Bach nation related GF, Jessica, a fitness entrepreneur. And now, they’re engaged! Ben reportedly popped the questions on March 27, in Jessica’s hometown of Franklin, Tennessee, with Ben telling ET: ”I was super nervous. She’s my best friend, my partner and I love her. I was nervous to kind of do this whole thing in front of her. I wasn’t anxious, it’s just a big moment!”
11/72 Peter Weber and Madison Prewett
Show + Season: The Bachelor Season 24
Engaged? Nope
Actually got married? Not gonna happen
What went down at the finale? Holy cow, a lot! In part one of the season 24 finale, Madi decided to leave the show and go home, citing her and Peter’s differing values and lifestyles as the motivator. But probably also a major factor: Peter’s mom Barbara. In the lead up to her departure, Madi met Peter’s family and was grilled by them over her conservative religious values and how different they perceived her lifestyle to be from Peter’s line-dancing ways. It was a lot to handle, and probably only further exacerbated Madi’s already wavering belief in their relationship.
Where are they now? Done, and we’re honestly not at all surprised. Two days after the March 10 Bachelor finale—in which fans saw Peter propose to Hannah Ann, only to break up with her a month into their engagement and reunite with Madi—both Madi and Peter took to Instagram to share the news that they had split up again. “As Peter and I have decided to go our separate ways, I am confident that we will both move in the direction of our purpose and never forget that God has a plan in all things. I will always love and respect him. I am convinced our paths were meant to cross and we are both better because they did,” Madi captioned a photo of herself and her former BF laughing during the After the Final Rose special. In his post—which featured a solo photo of the former Bach looking very pensive—Peter also talked about making the difficult decision, and continuing to have love and respect for Madi. He also gave ex-fiancé Hannah Ann a shout out, writing: “You are such a strong, confident woman and you deserve all the love in the world.”
Both Madi and Peter commented supportingly on each other’s posts, so it really looks like there’s no hard feelings. But somewhere, Barb is absolutely *thrilled.*
12/72 Kendall Long and Joe Amabile
Show + Season: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 5
Engaged? Nope
Actually got married? Nope again
What went down at the finale? While they were pretty much *the* couple on their season of Paradise, Kendall ultimately broke Joe’s heart (and the hearts of Bach nation viewers everywhere) in the finale when she told the grocery store owner: “There’s a part of me that obviously loves you, and I’ve known that for a while, but I don’t know what kind of love it is. I don’t know if it’s in love.” Thankfully, Kendall revealed on the reunion show that she travelled to Joe’s hometown of Chicago post-Paradise to win him back, and the couple were back together and better than ever. In September 2018, Joe competed on Dancing with the Stars (with Kendall supporting from the sidelines the whole time), and the couple moved in together in West Hollywood in April 2019. Then, in December 2019, the couple adopted a super cute dog together. #CoupleGoals
Where are they now? Done, and we’re crying. After less than two years together, the couple announced that they’re going their separate ways, and it sounds like it had a lot to do with where they want to live. In a joint statement made to Bachelor Nation, the former couple said: “We have decided mutually to go our separate ways. Joe has made the decision to move back to Chicago while Kendall will be remaining in her hometown of Los Angeles.”
“Our family and friends have always been an extremely important element to who we are as people,” the statement continued. “We can’t imagine continuing our lives without them closer, especially when thinking of starting a family of our own one day. We both respect each others’ decision and still have a great deal of love for each other. We appreciate all the love and support everyone has given us throughout our relationship.”
13/72 Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski
Show + Season: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 6
Engaged? Not anymore
Actually got married? Nope
What went down at the finale? After about 100 seasons on the franchise, Bachelor franchise vet Chris Bukowski seemed like he’d finally found love with down-to-earth dancer Katie. The pair, who was one of the strongest couples throughout the season, left Paradise engaged and seemingly happy.
Where are they now? Finished. The couple took to Instagram on December 10 in matching posts to announce their split. “We’ve reached a point in our story where we agree it’s best to go our separate ways,” they wrote. “We have chosen to love and respect each other as friends because that’s the base of our relationship, and it’s what is most natural for us.” News of the breakup can’t come as a *huge*surprise to Bachelor nation; while Katie and Chris left Paradise on a serious high, their appearance on After the Final Rose was anything but happy-go-lucky. Katie entered the hot seat sans both her fiancé and her engagement ring. While Katie told host Chris Harrison that they were still engaged, it wasn’t without difficulties, with the model and dancer telling the host that she’d “never been so insecure in a relationship before,” and claiming that she’d been putting in a lot of unreciprocated effort.
“I don’t know when I’m going to feel like my tank is filling up, because I’m empty for everyone else,” Katie said of the strain and feeling emotionally depleted. “It just doesn’t feel fair.” When Chris finally came out the couple took part in an IRL couple’s therapy session (TBH, Chris Harrison is *not* qualified for this), before Katie eventually put on her ring. But it didn’t look super great for the couple.
After the finale aired, both Katie and Chris took to Instagram to reaffirm their love and commitment to each other. “Love is tough. Love is beautiful. Most importantly love is patient,” Chris wrote alongside a photo of himself feeding Katie pizza. “Sometimes you need a shock to the system to put a fire under your ass. What I felt then I feel even more now. I love you @katieemo and can’t wait to feed you pizza for the rest of our lives.” Yeah…that didn’t age well.
14/72 Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty
Show + Season: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 6
Engaged? No
Actually got married? Unfortunately not
What went down at the finale? After a historic run in Paradise, Demi and her girlfriend, Kristian, got engaged in the season finale in a seriously sweet and tear inducing proposal. After struggling with accepting her identity and sexuality, Demi asked Kristian to marry her, telling her: “I came here to find myself, but I found myself in you.” *Crying*
Where are they now? Donezo. After coming out as the most emotionally mature couple in Paradise (and after Kristian used the After the Final Rose to return Demi’s proposal, getting down on one knee during the taping to ask for her hand in marriage), our queer queens have called it quits…at least for now.
After weeks of speculation from Bachelor nation over the status of their relationship, both Kristian and Demi took to Instagram on October 31 to share that the couple is no longer together, but still supportive of each other. Both women shared photos of themselves together with matching captions, writing: “With a heavy heart full of love for one another we have decided it is best for us to take a step back from our relationship. We ultimately want what is best for us in the long run and for us right now, that means being apart and growing individually.”
The ladies thanked fans for their love and support, writing that they hope their love story has ”helped others feel more accepted and confident within themselves,” and reminded some watching that “they aren’t alone and don’t need to be ashamed of who they are.”
This one hurts, guys.
15/72 Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour
Show + Season: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 6
Engaged? Yes
Actually got married? Not yet, but we’re betting they will be soon!
What went down at the finale? After getting off to a somewhat rocky start (*ahem* Blake *ahem*), the mom and dad of Paradise sealed the deal with a sweet proposal on the beach.
Where are they now? Engaged and living in the same state. As of the finale, Hannah and Dylan are still going strong, with the former making the move from Birmingham, Alabama, to Los Angeles, California, to be closer to her San Diego-based fiancé and #1 fan. We see a quick wedding and lots of babies in the future for these two.
16/72 Kevin Wendt and Astrid Loch
Show + Season: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 5
Engaged? Yes
Actually got married? Not yet!
What went down at the finale? This pair got together in Paradise, broke up on the second-last episode—which Sharleen Joynt called that season’s “biggest, most disappointing bomb“—and then reconciled just in time for the finale.
Where are they now? Engaged! After Astrid made the move from Tampa to Toronto in December 2018 (a true testament of love if we’ve ever seen one), the couple have been going strong in the Canadian city. And on August 28 the pair took the next step, with Kevin proposing to Astrid after a romantic bike ride and sunset picnic. The engagement photos are seriously gorgeous.
FYI, the ring—which Kevin designed himself, according to People—was purchased from Wendt’s Jewellery; a shop established in 1884 by Kevin’s great-great-grandfather. So sweet!
17/72 Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon
Show + Season: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 2 and 3
Engaged? Yes
Actually got married? Yes
What went down at the finale? The better question is, what didn’t go down? After two seasons (and a number of years) of publicly obsessing and crying over Jared after the two first met in Paradise, Ashley *finally* decided to move on. The Bach Nation (and JoBros fave) participated in Bachelor Winter Games in early 2018 and left with a new (Canadian!) beau, Kevin Wendt. But it turned out that seeing Ashley in a relationship with someone else was just what Jared needed to realize that she was the love of his life. After the restaurant manager shared his feelings with her, the pair revealed that they were *finally* in a happy relationship with a 45-minute video in May 2018.
Where are they now? After getting engaged on Season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise (in front of Ashley’s ex…awks), the couple wed in a seriously gorgeous Rhode Island ceremony in August 2019.
18/72 Hannah Brown and Jed Wyatt
Show + Season: The Bachelorette, Season 15
Engaged? Yes
Actually got married? No
What went down at the finale? After a season of drama and *lots* of tears, Hannah broke up with runner-up Tyler C. and chose Jed W. instead. Listening to the tune of her heart (and Jed’s guitar), she gave him the final rose and got engaged.
Where are they now? Hannah and Jed have since ended their engagement following his alleged cheating scandal. Two days after getting engaged, Hannah found out about “the other woman” Jed was dating before coming onto the show. When she learned more details about his relationship, and that it wasn’t *technically* over like he said it was, she ended things after five weeks.
Hannah is newly single again and already making *bold* moves. On “After The Final Rose,” she asked Tyler on a date, so maybe she’ll find her happily-ever-after after all.
19/72 Wells Adams and Sarah Hyland
Show + Season: The Bachelorette, Season 12 and Bachelor in Paradise, Season 4
Engaged? Yes
Actually got married? Not yet!
What went down at the finale? Wells was competing for the heart of Jojo Fletcher but didn’t make it passed top eight of the season. He was eliminated during a date and later went on to be a bartender for Bachelor in Paradise.
Where are they now? Wells is engaged to Modern Family‘s Sarah Hyland! Even though its a match made outside of Bachelor Nation heaven, Hyland was vocal about having a crush on Adams during his 2016 Bachelorette season. The two later met via social media and started officially dating in 2017. The couple regularly posts Snapchat and IG vids of them watching shows from The Bachelor franchise—and as if that couldn’t get any cuter, they are usually watching while snuggling with their multiple doggos.
After Adams proposed, Bach alums chimed in on social media with their congratulations and excitement. Our fave might be from Bach host Chris Harrison who responded to Adams’s heartfelt homemade video of the proposal saying, “Congrats brother. Took you long enough.”
20/72 Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes
Show + Season: Bachelorette, Season 13 & Bachelor, Season 23
Engaged? No
Actually got married? N/A
What went down at the finale? Dean appeared on Rachel’s season of The Bachelorette before being sent home after holding down a spot in the top four. Caelynn also made top four in Colton’s season of The Bachelor but didn’t find her happily-ever-after with him.
Where are they now? Luckily for Dean and Caelynn, striking out in the past meant they could explore things with each other. In recent news, the pair are travelling together before coming back to LA. According to an exclusive source to E! News, “Dean and Caelynn are dating,” and “met through mutual Bachelor Nation friends and started DM’ing on Instagram.”
21/72 Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk
Show + Season: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 4
Engaged? Yes
Actually got married? Not yet
What went down at the finale? The couple, who connected on Season 4 of The Bachelor spin-off, decided to stay together and explore their relationship outside of Paradise, instead of jumping right into an engagement.
Where are they now? Engaged! On June 2, 2019, both Adam and Raven announced their exciting news on Instagram, posting photos of the moment Adam popped the question on May 31. “I’m keeping you forever and for always. We will be together all of our days. Wanna wake up every morning to your sweet face…Always” Raven wrote alongside a series of photos that included Adam down on one knee and Raven showing off her ring. Adam posted a similar series of photos with the date: “5.31.19.”
Raven hinted that things were getting serious in July 2018, when she moved from Arkansas to Dallas to be with her beau. At the time, she told ”The Morning Toast”: “I’m really obsessed with Adam. I’m just really happy to be with him. I really do feel butterflies talking about him.”
22/72 Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick
Show + Season: The Bachelorette, Seasons 11 & 14
Engaged? No, but fingers crossed!
Actually got married? N/A
What went down at the finale? As Season 11’s Bachelorette, Kaitlyn Bristowe accepted a proposal from the season’s front-runner personal trainer Shawn Booth. The duo lived together in Nashville for three years (with their seriously cute pup) before breaking up in November 2018. Jason Tartick, a banker from Buffalo, competed for Becca Kufrin’s heart on Season 14 of the series, making it to the final three before he was sent home after a date in Thailand.
Where are they now? Shortly after her split with Shawn, Kaitlyn and Jason connected when he was a guest on her podcast Off the Vine, in December 2018. In January 2019, Jason confirmed they were dating—dispelling comments by Kaitlyn’s ex that they’d connected *while* she was still engaged. Speaking about her new love, Kaitlyn told E! News: “Jason is the most stable human being I’ve ever met in my life. He is an absolute rock for me. I’ve never met anyone like that…He’s everything. He’s hilarious. He’s so driven. He’s smart. He’s well-spoken. He loves his family. He’s romantic. Like, he’s everything.” In May the couple adopted a puppy and are set to move in together.
23/72 Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham
Show + Season: The Bachelor, Season 21
Engaged? Yes
Actually got married? Yes
What went down at the finale? “My love for you is unmeasurable,” the race-car driving Bachelor told Becca Kufrin as he proposed to her during the season finale of Season 21. But apparently his love *was* measurable, because directly after the finale, viewers watched as Arie dumped Becca in a v. awkward breakup scene. In the very same episode, Arie brought out runner-up Lauren Burnham and proposed to her instead!
Where are they now? After “doing the damn thing” on Season 6 of The Bachelorette, Becca is now engaged to Garrett Yrigoyen and the pair are living together in San Diego.
Arie and Lauren (who announced their pregnancy—it’s a girl!—in late 2018) got married in Hawaii on January 12, 2019, with Chris Harrison officiating (wow!). And despite our overwhelming meh feelings about this pair, we have to concede that they are one of Bachelor Nation’s biggest success stories…
24/72 Jordan Kimball and Jenna Cooper
Show + Season: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 5
Engaged? Yes
Actually got married? No
What went down at the finale? After an especially rocky season of BiP that included Kimball throwing a giant teddy bear into the ocean in a fit of jealousy, this pair wrapped their time in Paradise with an engagement. But the morning after the finale, Reality Steve broke the news that Cooper allegedly cheated on Kimball and faked their relationship to benefit her business, and that ignited a lot of back-and-forth about what actually went down, including this emotional Insta post from Kimball.
Where are they now? For Kimball, he attempts at Blue Steel on his Instagram abound, and made a guest appearance on Dancing With the Stars in October alongside his new BFF, Grocery Store Joe. As for Cooper, she showed up to celebrate Lauren and Arie at their joint bachelor-bachelorette party in November.
Cooper will be releasing a book that will be a tell-all of what went down during the cheating allegations now that she is no longer under contract. Kimball is not one for the drama and he says exclusively to Life & Style that ”I’m not entertaining anything she says. It’s almost been a year and she is still at it. What a nightmare.”
25/72 Courtney Dober and Lily McManus
Show + Season: Bachelor Winter Games, Season 1
Engaged? No
Actually got married? N/A
What went down at the finale? Like Dean Unglert and Lesley Murphy, Courtney (The Bachelorette Australia) and Lily (Bachelor New Zealand) seemed to hit it off straight from the first episode, and maintained a drama-free stay at the Vermont chalet. There was no proposal during the finale, but we had a feeling this duo would stay together for a long time.
Where are they now? Well, our feeling was wrong. The adorbs, realer-than-real pair announced their split on Instagram on August 28, 2018, with the caveat that they will remain “best friends” (in the words of Lily, “that long limbed f—k will be a part of my life for a very long time.”) For once, we actual believe this tired line isn’t lip service.
26/72 Derek Peth and Taylor Nolan
Show + Season: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 4
Engaged? Yes
Actually got married? No
What went down at the finale? After falling in love in sunny Mexico, Derek Peth proposed to Taylor Nolan during Season 4’s reunion special September 2017, presenting the then 24-year-old with a Neil Lane ring (but of course). Host Chris Harrison described the proposal as one of the “sweetest” and “rawest” moments he’s seen in a long time.
Where are they now? Only nine months after the engagement, the once-in-love pair have decided to part ways. In a joint statement released to E! News on June 2018, the exes wrote: “It is with much sadness that we have decided to end our engagement. We put everything we could into our relationship and are heartbroken to go forward separately, but we know this is the best decision for the both of us.” Despite the breakup, the pair noted that they will remain close. “We will still be present in each other’s lives with support, admiration and respect for each other,” they said.
Distance may be to blame for the split, as Taylor is based in Seattle and Derek lives in New York City.
27/72 Brad Womack and no one!
Show + Season: The Bachelor, Season 11
Engaged? No
Actually got married? No
What went down at the finale? Brad Womack became the first Bachelor in the history of the franchise to reject both women in the finale of his season, turning down both finalists Jenni Croft and Deanna Papas.
Where are they now? Brad broke another franchise record by returning to the show during Season 15 and becoming the only Bachelor to come back for a second season.
