Zendaya Stars in Bruno Mars’ Steamy New Music Video

Bruno Mars’ new video for “Versace on the Floor” features all our favourite things: a sparkly disco room, 80’s-esque purple glow, a glass grande piano, Zendaya dancing, Zendaya’s bangs, and what one can only assume is Zendaya in a Versace dress. There’s also Mars’ swooning away in a custom Versace silk shirt, which is pretty good too. Where do their designer duds end up? You’ll have to watch to find out.

How exactly did the former Shake it Up star land a coveted gig from one of the industry’s most coveted pop stars? Well, it could have been her killer cameo in Beyonce’s “Lemondade” video that caught Mars’ attention.

More likely, however, it was Zendaya’s top-notch copycat skills that caught his eye. Last month, the Spiderman star pulled out her best hip-hop, baggy clothes and baseball cap to imitate the “24k Magic” singer on Lip Sync Battle. And she s-l-a-y-e-d.

Whatever it was, Bruno Mars definitely made a smart move calling on the social media savvy 19-year-old. In an Instagram post promoting the video, Zendaya wrote: “When the flyest man out here calls you for one of the flyest songs out..you make it happen.” Ya, we’re pretty glad you made it happen too — the whole thing was pretty fly.

Most importantly, Mars celebrated the video launch like the legend he is.
