A male co-star brought Chloë Grace Moretz to tears on set, and we’re totally not okay with it. Granted, it happened five years ago, but still!
“This guy that was my love interest was like, “I’d never date you in a real life,’" she told Variety, “and I was like, ‘What?' And he was like, ‘Yeah, you’re too big for me’ — as in my size. It was one of the only actors that ever made me cry on set.”
Like the class act she is, Moretz didn’t reveal the actor’s identity. She did, however, leave fans a few hints: she was 15 at the time, the actor played her love interest, and he was “23, 24 or 25.” It’s almost as if she wants us to speculate who the scumbag is, right? So grab your magnifying glass and your deerstalker — it’s detective time.

Jimmy Bennett In Movie 43, Moretz’s character goes on a date with a boy played by actor Jimmy Bennett. But Bennett doesn’t check out with the facts: he’s only one year older than Chloe. And, since everyone involved with Movie 43 would like to pretend it doesn’t exist, it’s doubtful Moretz would intentionally bring it up.

Wesley Morgan Moretz’s Kick-Ass character, Mindy Macready, goes on a date with a guy named Simon, played by Canadian actor and Degrassi: The Next Generation alum, Wesley Morgan. Morgan would have been 22 at the time of filming Kick-Ass 2, which is just outside the 23-25 age range Moretz gave in her Variety interview. (But hey, obviously she wasn’t totally sure of her co-star’s age to begin with.)
Morgan also fits Trevor Duke-Moretz’s “isn’t even acting anymore” tweet description. His last film credit was in 2015. Hmmmm....

Aaron Taylor-Johnson But Morgan isn’t Moretz’s only love interest in Kick-Ass 2 at the end of the film, the actress shares a kiss with her co-star Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who plays the titular kicker of asses. He was 22 when the movie was filmed, but rest assured Kick-Ass fans, Moretz’s brother made sure Twitter knew it wasn’t him.

Ansel Elgort In Carrie, Moretz’s character is taken to prom by a character played by Ansel Elgort. Except Elgort was only 18 when the movie was filmed — and he’s definitely still a working actor.
We’re not here to name names, we’re just here to speculate; and let’s just say, these facts speak for themselves So on behalf of all Canadians, we’re sorry Chloe.
