What to wear to a music festival »
While the elaborate getups outside fashion week rule the roost in terms of year round inspiration, during the summer months, festival style is the only street stylthat matters. But just like the streets, the green, oftentimes muddy, festival fields are a bona fide battleground for the most stylish outfits done in the most nonchalant way.
With an almost dizzying list of festivals to attend this summer, music aficionados worldwide will no doubt be satisfied. We’ll be satisfied too, with endless street style images of dos, don’ts and everything in between. With tens of thousands (sometimes hundreds of thousands!) of people in the crowd it’s easy to get lost in the sea of denim cut-offs and crop tops. Standing out in a festival crowd can be a breeze---as long as you know what to avoid. There are plenty of failsafe options that have a proven festival track record (flower headbands or Hunter rain boots come to mind) but in order to set yourself apart from the swaying crowds, we offer up this guide. With looks for every type of music junkie, from Indie to Country to EDM, we’re here to tell you what to wear to a music festival, from Toronto to Tennessee and beyond.

Just because you’re at a festival doesn’t mean you have to lose all your street style cred. This layered black & white ensemble looks straight outta SoHo and we’re digging the layered skirt look. Perfect for the Indie-fest of your choosing.
