Last week, Valmont held an intimate dinner at Sassafraz in Toronto in celebration of its newly-launched Purity Collection and partnership with the One Drop Foundation, which supports sustainable water initiatives in developing countries. Greta Constantine’s Kirk Pickersgill, actress Torri Webster, and Real Housewives of Toronto’Grego Minot were in attendance.

Not far away, the iconic Daniel Boulud hosted an industry reception to welcome Café Boulud’s new Chef de Cuisine, Nicholas Trosien, and Wine Director, Julie Garton. The star-studded foodie affair also saw the attendance of chefs Cory Vitiello (with Dragonette’s Martina Sorbara), Jamie Kennedy, and the owner of the Four Seasons Toronto (and Jacksonville Jaguars) Shahid Khan, among others. Spotted supping around the corner at Café Boulud as a civilian—Brooke Shields.

And at Guelph University, Dasha Shenkman welcomed a wide swath of notables from the art world for the annual Shenkman Lecture, which had English artist Phyllida Barlow (Charles Darwin’s great-great-granddaughter) as its featured lecturer. David Mirvish, artist Tony Scherman, and Mary Symons were also in attendance.
