TIFF 2013: Jesse Eisenberg and Mia Wasikowska debut their couple status at The Double’s after-party

In celeb land, sometimes the moment’s there and sometimes it ain’t. And it was most certainly the latter for our friend Kevin Naulls of Toronto Life, who received quite The Social Network-worthy brush off from a one Jesse Eisenberg at last night’s after-party for The Double, a film which he co-stars in with girlfriend Mia Wasikowska. The actor was deep in conversation and was fairly perturbed at the intrusion. He managed pleasantries, albeit curt ones. Guess everyone isn’t a Gay Witch fan?
Other than that mini-clash, the Moët and Chandon-sponsored party was a charming affair, combining shiny branded champagne goblets with high-end sushi at Blowfish on King Street West. Eisenberg and Wasikowska, who made their debut as a couple earlier that evening at the film’s TIFF red carpet premiere, mingled with guests and snacked on appetizers in between embraces. Wasikowska continued to bring her fashion A-game in a lavender Roland Mouret form-fitting cocktail dress. Guess we’ll forgive her BF this time.
