Stephen Hawking Auditions A-List Actors for New Voice in Hilarious Charity Video

EVERYONE wants this role.

Stephen Hawking has one of the most recognizable voices in the world. But after three decades of using the same computerized mouthpiece, the famous physicist is after a fresh tone—and everyone wants the gig.

In the hilarious skit created for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day, Hawking holds an open casting call for the role of his “new voice.” Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Gordon Ramsay, Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne are just a few of the stars campaigning for the once-in-a-lifetime job.

“Listen to my voice. It’s deep; it’s sexy; it’s got a tinge of…physics,” Liam Neeson says in his mock audition tape.

Hamilton star Lin-Manuel Miranda tried to leverage the skill set that propelled him to fame: “You’re Stephen Hawking from Cambridge College/ But your voice is mad robotic if I’m being honest,” he rhymed.
