Oh, Shawn Mendes. Can you be any more perfect? With his upcoming album Illuminate dropping next month, and a sold-out arena tour, it’s kind of hard to believe that he’s only 18!

When Mendes posted a six second clip back in August 2013 covering Justin Bieber‘s As Long as you Love Me on Vine, the snippet garnered more than 10,000 views overnight. And the rest is history, really. Not long after he dropped his first single and music video (conveniently filmed at our favourite grilled cheese establishment, George Street Diner) while still in high school, he joined Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour as an opening act, and collaborated with our former cover star, Fifth Harmony‘s Camila Cabello. And we’re predicting so much more to come for this Pickering-born talent.
